Notts County manager Martin Allen does not know how to whistle but he really, really, really wants to learn. And since it's so difficult to find someone who can pass this rare skill on to him, he decided to put out an open call for a whistling teacher on the club's official website last week (pictured above, via The Offside).
Allen offered his assurance that this request is not some kind of gag, nor is it for personal, dog-related reasons. He needs to whistle from the technical area, you see. Because with two wins and two losses to start the season in League One, his players clearly aren't paying enough attention to less harmonic tones of his screams.
So if you happen to be a professional whistling teacher, do email Martin ASAP at the email address listed above. And again, this is not a joke, so don't treat it as such with prank replies. However, vuvuzela lessons might also be appreciated.
