As Premier League clubs return to training and begin their preseason schedule, Chicharito has decided to try and crush their hope of success against him this season by warning that he is still improving. After scoring 20 goals in his first season with Manchester United and leading Mexico to a Gold Cup title, Chicharito has apparently been trying to get even better than he already is. The legality of this is currently being investigated.
He also admits that scoring those goals with his face, liver and crotch before might not have been all down to full-bodied skill. From the Manchester Evening News:
"I have been a little lucky with some of my goals," Hernandez told Inside United.
"There have been a few headers in there. I work on that side of my game because I am not the tallest guy.
"I am working on all aspects of my game - speed, strength, technical ability with the ball, movement - and heading. [...]
"I am improving how I play. I am trying to be quicker with the ball, with more technique and concentration, because it is very difficult to keep the ball in this league.
"Of course, I have a lot of improving to do and I will work hard every day to achieve that."
"You know, you really don't have to do that," said all of his opponents in unison.
