Former Manchester United striker and current New York Cosmos director of football Eric Cantona has a significant filmography at this point -- including one picture he played himself and offered advice to a Man United obsessed postman. And now, Cantona returns to French cinemas as police detective Damien Forgeat in Switch.
Here's the IMDb synopsis:
Sophie Malaterre, 25 years old, fashion designer, is not looking forward to the summer holidays. No projects, no friends, no boyfriend Someone tells her about the website SWITCH.com that allows people to switch houses with someone else for a month. Sophie finds, by chance, a duplex in Paris, with view of the Eiffel Tower. Her first day there is idyllic. The next morning, she is woken up by the cops. A decapitated body is in the room next door. She has no way of proving that she isn't Bndicte Serteaux, the owner of the duplex. The trap closes in on her She hasn't only changed apartments: she's changed bodies and destinies...
Ooo.
After watching the trailer, I have to say that this movie looks totally unrealistic. When Sophie takes that dentist hostage, instead of pointing a gun at her, the real Cantona would have just kung fu kicked her and that would have been the end of it. Then again, I guess that shows just how good his acting is.
