Late in Australia's 5-0 friendly thrashing of Malaysia last week, the losing side adopted an interesting strategy to combat their futile cause: tackle everyone.
After pulling off a double tackle that didn't draw a whistle and left its victim, Matt McKay, laughing, Malaysia's Kathiripillai Reuben went a step further and took out the referee, who made the mistake of being between him and the ball. Again, there was no whistle except for the final whistle a few moments later, bringing a merciful end to the match.
