Footballers have been abusing advertising boards for years -- smashing into them at full speed with reckless abandon and causing irreparable damage. Well, now the advertising boards are fighting back.
During Saturday's match between Palmeiras and Figueirense, the home side's goal-scorer, Ricardo Bueno got a little to close to one board past the endline. So, it tried to eat his boot. He had trouble getting away from its clutches, but he finally did with a little help from a member of the media.
This was really just a warning, though. Next time, the advertising boards won't be so nice.
