This is Eric Cantona as a cop chasing an innocent woman

Former Manchester United striker and current New York Cosmos director of football Eric Cantona has a significant filmography at this point -- including one picture he played himself and offered advice to a Man United obsessed postman. And now, Cantona returns to French cinemas as police detective Damien Forgeat in Switch.

Here's the IMDb synopsis:

Sophie Malaterre, 25 years old, fashion designer, is not looking forward to the summer holidays. No projects, no friends, no boyfriend Someone tells her about the website SWITCH.com that allows people to switch houses with someone else for a month. Sophie finds, by chance, a duplex in Paris, with view of the Eiffel Tower. Her first day there is idyllic. The next morning, she is woken up by the cops. A decapitated body is in the room next door. She has no way of proving that she isn't Bndicte Serteaux, the owner of the duplex. The trap closes in on her She hasn't only changed apartments: she's changed bodies and destinies...

Ooo.

After watching the trailer, I have to say that this movie looks totally unrealistic. When Sophie takes that dentist hostage, instead of pointing a gun at her, the real Cantona would have just kung fu kicked her and that would have been the end of it. Then again, I guess that shows just how good his acting is.

The moment Kevin Doyle heard Arsenal want to sign him

Hello? ... Yeah, I'm good. Who is this? ... What? ... Yeah right. ... Arsenal are making a 12 million bid for me? You're winding me up. ... Who is this? Is this Dan? If it is, you're an idiot, Dan. ... Oh, they want me to replace Nicklas Bendtner? They know I'm not a self-obsessed twunt, right? ... Stop lying, Dan. I know it's you. I'm going to punch you in the neck the next time I see you. ... Yes. Scoring 17 goals in two seasons with Wolves has turned Arsene Wenger into a big fan of mine. Has he been eating paste? ... OK. So, you're saying that this season, I, Kevin Doyle, striker for Wolves and Ireland, could be playing for Arsenal Football Club. If things go according to their master plan and not horribly against it. ... Seriously Dan, if this is you, I'm going to punch you so hard in the neck that you forget how to read. ... I'm hanging up now. ... Well I guess we'll see, now won't we? ... OK then. Tell Wenger that if he does sign me, I'll show up to the first day of training in my underpants with Jens Lehmann's face tattooed on my forehead. ... Screw you, Dan. Goodbye.

Random musings of footballers before they fall asleep?

Cesc Fabregas

I can't wait until I'm a Barca player. ... I'm going to wear my kit everywhere -- even in the shower. ... I'm going to get a turtle and name it Turtle Thiago and then I'm going to show it the real Thiago and laugh when he realizes they have the same name. ... I really hope the club that I am captain of doesn't screw this up for me. ... If they demand a lot of money for one of their most important players, that would just be unprofessional of them. ... I hope they sell me soon. If I have to go another month without Pique bleeding on me, I might die...

Renny Vega

I think...I think I'm stuck.

Sergio Romero

What's with Messi and Legos? ... Every time he talks about them, he giggles like a loon and then takes a nap. ... I tried to talk about good restaurants in Barcelona with him and he immediately turned the conversation to how great it would be if someone would make a working restaurant completely out of Lego blocks. ... Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe playing with Lego toys would help me relax and see the game with childlike wonder. ... Or maybe I'll just continue looking at adult websites on the internet. ... Yeah, I think I'll do that...

Tim Howard

Time for the disgraces. ... First, camouflage? Camouflage?! They're making me wear a camouflage kit this season like I'm going bear hunting instead of keeping clean sheets. ... What happens when Phil Jagielka turns around and just sees a mound of greenery instead of a goalkeeper? He'll probably have a panic attack and have to be put on medication that makes him sterile. ... This is just ridiculous. ... I bet someone who speaks Spanish designed this abomination. ... This is, without a shadow of a doubt, an absolute, total, obscuring f***ing disgrace...

Nicklas Bendtner makes his transfer demands

Are you interested in acquiring the brilliance of Nicklas Bendtner? Well unless I'm talking to myself -- which I am -- you're not worthy of it. But since I am talking to myself and I'm looking exceptionally good today -- as I am every day -- I will reveal a set of transfer demands so great that it will make you pregnant. And yes, I can get pregnant. I can do everything.

-First, Nicklas Bendtner demands money in the amount of "the most." That's non-negotiable. It doesn't matter exactly what you pay me, just so long as it's more than everyone else, so I can point that out to the other players at moments of my choosing. Which will be all the time.

-Second, since the quality of footballers is often based on the transfer fee paid for them, mine will be infinity. Think it's not possible to pay Arsenal infinity euros for my considerable talents? Don't worry about that. I'll figure out a way to make that happen. I've always been really good at math. And everything else.

-Third, I want mirrors in the showers. Don't question it!

-Fourth, my new club's manager must defer to my genius on everything. Wondering who to put in the starting XI? Bendtner. Need someone to take credit for the win? Bendtner. Want someone to promise they will marry your daughter and then leave them for a more beautiful woman in the most emotionally shattering way possible? Ha ha ha Bendtner.

-Fifth, chicken nuggets must be served at all team meals. Because chicken nuggets are the only food worthy of Nicklas Bendtner.

-Sixth, I'm number one. I'm also every other number.

-Seventh, my new club will ensure that no one mentions that time my pants fell down outside a nightclub. That never happened!!!

-And eighth...Bendtner.

They Take Youth Football Seriously In Poznan

Either that, or there’s just not that much to do in that part of Poland… Seeing Lech Poznan supporters chant and light flares isn’t surprising. Seeing them do that at a U-12 tournament… well, that’s some next-level club support right there. Can you imagine them doing that at a U-12 event in America? The looks [...]

Warner's departure poses more questions than answers

So what does Jack Warner's resignation tell us about Sepp Blatter's promise to make Fifa more transparent?

On the one hand few who have observed Fifa's lack of accountability will be sorry to see Warner go after 30 years at the top of Fifa.

The former vice-president has been at the centre of many corruption storms and it is no surprise that, facing an ethics investigation into claims he arranged to bribe members of the Caribbean Football Union on behalf of the former presidential candidate Mohamed Bin Hammam, he chose to quit before he was pushed.

But in doing so he has denied football and Fifa the opportunity of a proper airing of the claims against him. In announcing his resignation on Monday, Fifa said all matters relating to the ethics committee investigation were closed with Warner presumed innocent (neat phrase, that).

This is Blatter's old Fifa at work. A deal done behind the scenes leaving us all wondering what really went on.

This is exactly what Blatter was promising to change when he was given another overwhelming vote of confidence by the football world in Zurich at the start of the month.

One Fifa member told me that he believed Warner's departure represented a "start". But I am not so sure.

What if Bin Hammam, the man accused of trying to buy votes with wads of dollar bills at an unofficial meeting in Trinidad last month, now also resigns? Will we ever hear the truth of what really went on?

What about Warner's promise of a tsunami? Did he ever really know anything about other Fifa members and has he now elected to keep his mouth shut to save his reputation and his political career back home?

What will now happen to all those Caribbean countries and officials who were paid the money and who are holding on to it? Will the investigation still go ahead?

Yes, Warner's departure from the executive committee of Fifa will do wonders to improve Fifa's image. But it still poses a lot of questions about the way Fifa operates.
